I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, as it was close to all the shops and restaurants in town. I loved being able to walk everywhere and explore the area easily. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and informative, always available to answer any questions or address any needs I had. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious, with a variety of options including homemade scones. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with premium bedding and towels provided. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Can't fault anything about it.

Very convenient to downtown, restaurants, shopping, hiking, seashore. Excellent homemade scones, coffee cake for breakfast. Friendly atmosphere. Good recommendations from host/owner. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean. Nice view from the top rear with private balcony though too cold and foggy to get full use of it.
The pullout couch/sofa bed in the living area was most uncomfortable. Might take out the coffee table which would lead to a little more open space instead of having to move furniture when making up sofa bed.

Small quaint hotel, very clean and comfy room/bathroom. Breakfast area very tiny but well managed, nice and friendly, we soon got talking to the other guests.

I've stayed in Mendocino , Ca., Many, many times over the past 40 years . . . this was our first trip to the Nicholson House . . . I would definitely stay there again and again! The room (Presbeterian View) is superb! Large nice bathroom, Comfortable bed and modest sized bedroom . . . 4 poster 'tall' bed! . . unique!, Efficiency kitchen [great for a quick snack prep., Or just for using as a 'bar', nice large living room well appointed [ houses a sofa bed as well]. Location is right next door to 2 of Mendocinos' best restaurants: Cafe' Beaujalais, & 955 Ukiah Street!!!Both = 4-5 star!!. Brent, the Owner/Mgr. At the Nicholson House is terrific . . a 'real person' that will help you with almost anything!! [Hell of a gardener, too!!] Yep, Stay and enjoy and your'e able to comfortably 'walk' the whole "village" from here . . . no car necessary! See ya later, bye! [email protected]

The hotel also had a great breakfast, with options like homemade quiche, fresh fruit, and bagels. The staff was friendly and helpful, always providing us with information and assistance. Additionally, the hotel was clean and had all the necessary facilities we needed.
Couldn't find any faults at all.

Good location. Very well appointed
Was cold the day I stayed-(May)- heating system noisy and not efficient. Breakfast area not big enough- much better to take in own room

It was a very comfy place to go to. It was warm amd welcoming.
I didnt like the fact that u could hear everything ur neighbor say or do. The floor boards were so thin you shook up the floor everytime you got up or walked and it was hard to avoid it. I was in the commons area and can hear flushing and walking over me. Though its not a major issue for me it was also very constant. I had to whisper in my room the whole time. Ahahahaa. But i enjoyed the place.
